Launched in 2024, mapPLAS is more than a startup; it is a vision for a cleaner, circular economy in Pakistan. The initiative focuses on “sustainable plastic waste management,” particularly polyethylene terephthalate plastic types, by deploying intelligent monitoring systems and forming strategic alliances with local stakeholders to ensure that plastic waste is collected and repurposed effectively. At the heart of mapPLAS is a commitment to data- driven environmental preservation, leveraging technology to create quantifiable outcomes.
The driving force behind mapPLAS will lead a dedicated team to develop scalable systems that will bring accountability and innovation to Pakistan’s waste management infrastructure.
