Coming from a remote area of South Punjab, I have transformed early challenges into a commitment to education, gender equality, and social justice. Originally from Khangarh, Muzaffargarh, I fought against patriarchal barriers to pursue my studies and now aim to inspire other girls from rural communities.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Gender and Development from Lahore College for Women University and am currently pursuing an MPhil in Gender Studies at Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. I have also completed three short course diplomas: Gender at Work in Development from the International Institute of Social Studies, Erasmus University Rotterdam; Computer Applications; and Documentary & Filmmaking.

With over seven years of experience in social activism, I have worked with Shaoor Foundation, CSR Forum Pakistan, and Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi, and currently serve as President of the CEGS Society. My interests include women’s rights advocacy, climate action, social entrepreneurship, and inclusive policy development. I am passionate about building platforms that empower rural women and gender minorities to utilize their education and skills for meaningful change.

Coming from a remote area of South Punjab, I have witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of climate change on vulnerable communities—ranging from extreme heatwaves to recurrent floods that disrupt livelihoods, education, and access to resources. These experiences have deeply shaped my commitment to advancing climate action and renewable energy solutions that are equitable, inclusive, and transformative.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Gender and Development from Lahore College for Women University and ongoing MPhil studies in Gender Studies at Quaid-e-Azam University, I bring an intersectional perspective to sustainability—recognizing that climate change is not only an environmental challenge but also a social justice issue. My academic work, combined with over seven years of activism and community engagement, has allowed me to design and lead initiatives that empower marginalized groups, particularly women and gender minorities, to adapt to and mitigate climate impacts.

Joining the Climate Action & Renewable Energy Pillar offers the opportunity to contribute to global decarbonization efforts, promote renewable energy adoption, and advocate for just transitions in fossil fuel-dependent regions. I am eager to collaborate with experts, share insights from grassroots projects, and co-create scalable solutions that align with the UN SDGs, ensuring both environmental resilience and social equity.
