Esha Noor is a chemistry graduate from Lahore College for Women University, Pakistan, where she graduated as department topper with a CGPA of 3.88. Her research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of heterocyclic dyes, particularly thiazole coumarin-based azo dyes, with demonstrated antimicrobial and ultraviolet protection properties. She has also explored dye absorptivity in different solvents, linking her work to material sciences and sustainable chemistry applications.
Beyond research, Esha has served as a group leader and theme leader in academic societies, actively fostering teamwork, innovation, and student engagement. She has earned multiple merit-based awards, including the Chief Minister’s Laptop Scheme, the Talent Award, Roll of Honour, Gold Medal recognizing her academic excellence and leadership potential. She has also worked as a CM Climate intern at the Environment Protection Department as one of 2000 interns selected from all over the Province.
Her professional interests include green chemistry, sustainable materials, and water treatment technologies. Passionate about advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals, she is committed to applying her scientific expertise to environmental protection, sustainable innovation, and global collaboration.
•I want to join the Sustainability Goal network because I believe science must actively address global challenges. As a chemistry graduate and researcher, I have focused on eco-friendly dyes and green synthesis, reflecting my commitment to clean technologies and sustainable practices. I see sustainability not only as an environmental responsibility but also as a pathway to design solutions that protect natural resources and improve human well-being.
In the future, I plan to expand my research towards hydrogen energy generation using organic dyes, contributing to renewable and clean energy transitions. By integrating chemistry with sustainability, I aim to support global efforts in reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
Joining this network will allow me to collaborate with like-minded individuals, share knowledge, and transform research into real-world solutions aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in clean energy, sustainable materials, and environmental protection.
