I’m Fiza Nadeem, a 6th semester Chemical Engineering student at UET Lahore (New Campus). I have a strong interest in chemical processes, sustainability, and how engineering can solve real-world problems.
I’ve completed an internship at NIMIR Resins Ltd., where I gained hands-on exposure to industrial operations. To enhance my technical and digital skillset, I’ve also earned certifications in Python programming (in collaboration with Cambridge International Qualifications, UK) and Mastering ChatGPT from UniAthena. In September 2024, I attended the Chemical Security Risk Assessment Workshop organized by Sandia National Laboratories (USA), which helped me understand chemical safety from a global security perspective.
I’ve worked on impactful academic projects like a biomass-based CHP plant and 3D printing filament from PET waste.
•As a chemical engineering student, I believe sustainability isn’t just a choice — it’s a responsibility. The world is facing serious challenges like climate change, pollution, water scarcity, and energy crises. These aren’t limited to one country; they’re global problems, and they need global solutions.
I want sustainability to be a global priority because industries, especially chemical and manufacturing, play a huge role in both the problem and the solution. Through greener technologies, waste reduction, cleaner energy systems, and better process control, we can reduce environmental damage while still supporting economic growth.
My goal is to be part of that change — by using engineering skills to design smarter, safer, and more eco-friendly processes, and by promoting awareness, especially in developing countries like Pakistan where sustainable practices are still emerging.
Whether it’s through research, innovation, or small business, I want to contribute to a future where development doesn't come at the cost of our planet.
