I am an environmental scientist with a strong academic foundation and a growing specialization in waste and resource management. After completing my BS in Environmental Sciences from GCUF, Pakistan, I was honored to receive the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, which allowed me to pursue a master’s in Environmental Contamination and Toxicology. This program took me across Spain, Portugal, Belgium, and Denmark, where I explored nature-based solutions, specifically the use of constructed wetlands to remove antibiotics from wastewater, a pressing environmental challenge.

Currently, I am actively involved in the SAFEWASTE project in Ireland, an initiative focused on ensuring the safe application of organic waste on agricultural land. My main role centers on monitoring and regulating metals and microplastics in animal manure to help safeguard both environmental quality and public health.

Driven by a passion for sustainability, innovative research, and practical problem solving, I am committed to creating meaningful, real world impacts. I believe that through collaboration, science based approaches, and dedicated effort, we can advance effective waste and resource management strategies that contribute to a healthier environment and a more sustainable future.

I am eager to join Sustainability Global to contribute to the development of innovative and effective solutions for sustainable waste and resource management. With a strong academic background in environmental sciences and practical experience of working on projects related to the safe use of organic waste, I have gained valuable insights into the complexities and opportunities involved in managing environmental contaminants and promoting resource efficiency.

My work has primarily focused on assessing and regulating contaminants such as heavy metals and microplastics in animal manure, which plays a crucial role in ensuring that organic waste can be safely recycled back into agricultural systems. This experience has deepened my understanding of the importance of adopting holistic approaches that balance environmental protection, public health, and resource recovery. I am passionate about applying science-based strategies that support circular economy principles and contribute to reducing pollution and waste generation.

Throughout my career, I have engaged with diverse teams, including researchers, policymakers, and industry practitioners. This collaborative approach has strengthened my ability to communicate complex environmental issues clearly and to develop solutions that are practical and scalable. I am particularly interested in how emerging technologies and innovative waste management practices can be integrated across sectors to build more resilient and sustainable systems.

Sustainability Global’s commitment to fostering cross-sector collaboration and promoting scalable technologies aligns perfectly with my vision for environmental sustainability. I appreciate the organization’s focus on driving systemic change that not only reduces ecological footprints but also enhances resource security and economic resilience. By joining Sustainability Global, I look forward to contributing my expertise to projects that prioritize responsible consumption and production, as well as the development of circular models that maximize resource recovery.

In addition to my technical skills, I bring a strong dedication to continuous learning and adaptability, qualities that I believe are essential in the dynamic field of sustainability. I am motivated by the opportunity to work alongside passionate professionals who are equally committed to making a tangible impact on environmental challenges. I believe that by sharing knowledge and fostering innovation, we can collectively accelerate the transition toward a more sustainable and regenerative future.

I am particularly inspired by the ambition to build a regenerative planet by 2050, as outlined in Sustainability Global’s mission. This long-term vision underscores the need for urgent and collaborative action to address waste and resource management challenges at local, national, and global levels. I am excited about the prospect of being part of an organization that not only envisions such a future but actively works toward it through impactful projects and partnerships.
